If you want to make your interactions with ChatGPT quicker and more dynamic, shortcuts are the ideal solution. By using quick commands like /picture and /search, you can easily enrich conversations with images or find useful information without leaving the chat window. Using these slash commands allows you to keep the conversation going without interruptions, enhancing your experience in a simple and effective way.

To use this feature, just type a “/” during the conversation with ChatGPT and a pop-up with shortcut options will appear.

The interface shows three main options providing quick access to advanced tools:

  1. Image (Use DALL-E): With /picture you can connect to DALL-E, OpenAI’s AI model specialized in image generation. It’s perfect for when you want to enhance a conversation with unique visual elements. Simply select this shortcut, and you can start creating AI-generated images, even if you don’t have a specific idea in mind.
  2. Search (Find on the web): With /search you enter Search mode and can conduct a web search directly, without leaving the ChatGPT interface. This feature activates a special search mode, where anything typed after activation is treated as a search query. Even if the user doesn’t input anything, the system can remember the previous topic of conversation and provide relevant information. This is an incredibly useful feature for those looking to obtain quick or up-to-date information without interruptions.
  3. Reason (Use o1-preview): This third option, currently available only to Plus users, allows access to the experimental o1-preview model, designed to tackle complex tasks that require advanced reasoning skills. Compared to its predecessors, like GPT-4, o1-preview stands out for its ability to “think” step-by-step before responding, making it ideal for tasks that require deeper analysis, such as math problems, advanced coding, and scientific reasoning. This model is still in preview, so it has some limitations, such as the absence of support for browsing or file and image uploads.
